Anvil Stainless Steel Bucket Fermenter Features

Made of 304 Stainless Steel

Since the Anvil bucket fermenter is made up of 304 stainless steel, it offers excellent corrosion resistance. Due to the construction, strength, easy maintenance, and durability, most people prefer this stainless steel.

With these properties, 304-grade is ideal for kitchen and food applications. If you are looking for a high-quality brewing vessel, Anvil Fermenter is a great option.

Conical Bottom

The second thing that I liked about the Anvil fermenter is it has a conical bottom. The cone in the base allows any yeast or sediment to slide down to the bottom nicely making it easier to draw the sediment with the help of a dump valve.

While it may not look like your typical conical fermenter, as you can see it is coned out on the inside. If you prefer more of a steep coned bottom, then you’ll want to check out reviews on the best conical fermenters on the market.

You don’t need to change the vessel for each stage of fermentation because of the conical bottom. Since you can draw off the sediment every few days, you can harvest yeast without affecting the rest of the bear.

Rotating Racking Arm

The rotating racking arm in the Anvil fermenter works great, which helps you to draw off the wine or beer smoothly. You can clear off the liquid until the sediment starts to trickle through. The racking arm helps in both yeast formation and rack clean.

Size

The Anvil bucket fermenter has a capacity of 7.5 gallons which is great for home brewing. Although the gross capacity is 7.5 gallons, the recommended batch size is 5 gallons.

The height of the fermenter is 19.5” to the top of the lid. You have to add 6.25” more for the air-lock and stopper. The diameter of the cylinder without including the handles is 12,” and if you include the handle, it will be 16.5”.

Air Lock, Ball Valve, and Stopper

The air-lock in Anvil fermenter helps in releasing carbon dioxide during brewing beer or making wine. It does not allow air to enter the vessel to avoid oxidation.

The ball valve in this fermenter makes it easier to rack and collect samples.

The stopper creates an airtight seal that prevents the entry of oxygen into the vessel.

Accessories Available

You can purchase optional or extra accessories from Anvil to help with the process. They have a liquid crystal thermometer that makes up for this missing temperate gauge, lid seal, hose barb valve, racking arm, blowoff kit, replacement valves, lids, and o-ring kits.
